The 2017 Kia Niro Sticks the Landing Into the Hybrid Market


With an estimated 50 miles per gallon combined for city/highway, the brand's first dedicated hybrid car platform, and the industry's very first dedicated subcompact crossover hybrid, the 2017 Kia Niro has made quite the entrance into the market for hybrid cars in Las Vegas.

And we're loving it.

With a powertrain comprised of a 1.6-liter gasoline engine, a hybrid electric motor, and a lithium-ion battery to take some of the load away from the main engine, the new Niro seems well-suited to hit its 50 MPG goals.
